CGKF will be having a Meet N Greet December 14th from 11:30am-1:30pm at Tubby's Tank house in Thunderbolt. This Meet N Greet will be sponsored by Egret Baits and Fish My Yak. We will have Ray Golden from Coffee Bluff Marina as our guest speaker. This is a great opportunity to learn more about CGKF, kayak fishing, and to meet other kayak anglers. Since Tubby's doesn't charge us for the room we like to patronize them by ordering from the menu for lunch (at your own expense).
Let us know if you'll be attending by responding to this thread so we can get a general headcount. Spouses and children are welcome.

If I am still in the area around then, I'll be there. We are supposed to be moving the dredge to Brunswick sometime around there.

I will be putting together some items that we will raffle off at the end of the Meet N Greet. Hopefully we will have one or more of our Heroes On the Water team there to give us an update of future events and the goals for our HOW Chapter for 2014.

Coffee Bluff Marina has given CGKF a one person 4 hour mothership trip (targeting Triple Tail) to be raffled off at the December Meet N Greet. Raffle tickets for this trip will be $20 per ticket and can be purchased at the Meet N Greet. This trip will be scheduled later on in 2014, but will more than likely be in June. The trip consists of Coffee Bluff Marina's Capt. Ray Golden taking you and your kayak/ gear to proven Triple Tail areas. You will launch from the boat and Capt. Ray will be your spotter for the fish. If you have never caught a triple tail, they are explosively exciting to grapple with. Adding the thrill of doing it in a kayak will put the experience over the top! This guided trip would normally costs $400.
And yes, I will be going with you so it's actually a two person trip. My company is worth at least $.01. Haha 100% of the proceeds from this raffle will go directly to Coastal Georgia HOW.

If by some crazy reason you can't make it to the Meet N Greet and you want a raffle ticket for the Triple Tail trip, give the money to someone that is going and have them buy it for you.
We'd rather see your shining face, but also know that stuff happens.
If you need something from Fish My Yak and want to pay online, I can bring the item(s) to the Meet N Greet.

I had a great time at the Meet N Greet! Thank you to those who came out. Nice to put some faces to names again. Thanks to Tubby's Tank House, Coffee Bluff Marina (Ray & Amy), Egret Baits, Stitched Designs (Nubby & Trudy), and HOW (Jim and Stephen) for the update. Those that missed the event missed out on some good company, food, and raffle prizes.
