On Tuesday, I met with the Owner of Class Five Boats in Ringgold, GA, and we verbally hammered out the fundamentals of a sponsor contract for Dave Loger (No Motor Fly Fishing) and maybe myself.
Class Five owns the molds, patents, and build books to the original Mohawk fiberglass canoes (Florida-based) and builds these boats on a direct-to-customer sales basis in both Fiberglass and Kevlar models. Their fiberglass solo 14' Mohawk weighs less than 40 lbs, is USCG approved (internal flotation, etc.), and sells for an amazing $600! This is the solo multi-sport boat I have paddled most of my life. It makes an awesome fishing boat. The 16' 2-man version is also a fantastic canoe at an amazing price. And his kevlar boat prices will blow you away.
