On Saturday, September 24th, Coffee Bluff Marina will hold a Kayak Fishing Seminar – Intermediate Level from 10 am until 2 pm. This is a 4 hour seminar that goes over 3 main criteria for catching fish out of a kayak. First, we will go over proper bait and lure selection for targeting redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. We cover this while on land at the marina. We then put the kayaks into the water and paddle down to where we will show you the second factor, which is where to find these fish, what type of habitat they prefer, and why they hang on these various structures. Finally, now that you know what to use and where to use it, we will go over the third important step, which is how to properly present the bait or lure to the fish to target and catch that species. The cost for the seminar is $35 per person. If you do not have a kayak, we will provide one at 50% off normal kayak rental rates, which is an additonal $15 for the use of a kayak. The seminar will be held in conjunction with Coastal Georgia Kayak Fishing, and you can view their website by clicking on this link -www.coastalgeorgiakayakfishing.com – If you are interested in participating, seats are limited, so please call to reserve your space. This is the last Intermediate Level Seminar held this year.

I spoke with Coffee Bluff Marina today and found out that only a couple folks have signed up for the intermediate seminar. In order for the venture to worth while for Coffee Bluff and the use of their facilities we'd like a few more folks to attend. If you know someone who is on the fence or just haven't heard, let them know. I believe that CBM will have the event in next weeks Savannah Morning News.
The October 1st mothership seminar already has 3 folks signed up and can hold another. If Ray can get a few more paid he can hire another boat to take out attendees.
Both seminars are very informative and exciting, check 'em out!

I signed up this morning and I'm bringing my neighbor with. As long as nobody at work does anything silly, I look forward to getting out Saturday.

I would definitely be there, but until Oct 4th, I'm only getting about 24 hours a week off from training down on Ft. Stewart. I am, however, going to register for the IWDI..

Thanks again Trey. It was nice meeting everyone and good to get out on the water. Even after fishing fresh and salt for 35 years it's still good to get out and learn new things that I can put to use. Tight lines, Jim

Good to see you again Jim!
The seminar went well and we had some very attentive participants. I hope that I relayed some of the knowledge that I know and it was received and will be put to good use. I had a great time, but DANG it was hot! Didn't expect the heat that we had. Great to meet all those who attended! ;D
