Well, the honey hole wasn't so sweet after all, but it did yield some drag screaming reds for Chris and I. The waters around here just aren't warm enough to get into the trout just yet. Only two of the participants caught trout and they got them in Jacksonville. Ray, Amy, and the rest of the Coffee Bluff Marina along with the fine folks from the IFA provided us fishermen with a fun tournament! I'll definitely fish the IFA kayak division from now on. I met some nice fellas and talked to some that I haven't seen in a while. The winner of the kayak division caught a 34" red, which was also the biggest redfish of the tournament. Talk about a beast of a red! The biggest trout of the tournament was 19.375". No one caught one of each. We all had a great time fishing, the weather was awesome, and the fellowship was nice. We had 4 CGKF members fishing, hopefully we can get more involved for the last two events and/ or next year. Here are a few pics of the day:

Paddling the Tarpon was really nice. It took a few minutes to get used to it, a little tippy, compared to the Ride. I really enjoyed fishing out of it!
