CGKF is going to have a meet'n greet, probably April 2nd. We can fish and then go eat somewhere, like the Flying Fish (Hwy 80 Wilmington Island) or just eat or just fish.
We have been gaining a number of new folks to the site and kayak fishing and I believe this would be a good opportunity to get together; meet each other and talk kayak fishing.
Respond to this thread with your feedback. We'll either fish at Skidaway Narrows or Tybee.

Great idea, but I have no idea at this time. I've got a family obligation to go fly fishing in FL about then. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Chase, there is a thread in this section called: 1st Quarterly Meeting, the details are there.
We will fish (at an area to be determined later this week, weather/ wind dependant) at Tybee from dawn until around noon and then go to The Flying Fish to eat and have a club meeting.

While I was mistaken about GKF and it's just one guy and his family for Spring Break (the group trip was last year and the report is new), I was just thinking it may be a bit crowded. I know when I launched at Alley 3 Saturday before last at dawn there was 1 parking spot. And I was lucky. I had a handicapped parking placard. So give some thought to the logistics, not just the tides and wind.

There is more parking one street down at the back river pier......well in walking distance of Alley 3.....usually if you get to Alley three around daylight...you will have a parking place
