I have a yak that needed some padeyes removed and the holes filled. I borrowed a plastic welder and figured I'd give it a shot. I heated the welder (sort of like a soldering iron) up, cut my plastic material into strips and then said a short prayer that I wouldn't totally disfigure my yak. I fed the plastic in the welder hole and watched it melt into the yak hole leaving some excess on the outside. The next day I pulled out the ole palm sander and went to town. The holes are gone and other that the slightly darker color and sanding scuffs, you can't tell there were 3/16" holes there. I'm very pleased with the results, but will work to perfect the art. You can see the results at the CGKF seminar Feb. 19th at Coffee Bluff Marina.
