So a while back I came up with this idea for a fishing league. i had the privilege of fishing with someone from the forum this past week and he liked the fishing league idea. So let's see if we can get a few folks involved and we'll get a season started.
The original idea had 2 man teams and that might be difficult to coordinate 4 people to meet up and fish. So here are some revised rules and we'll see if we can get something going.
1 person teams
Pick yourself a team name
Pick a "home" ramp, must be saltwater (anywhere from Brunswick to savannah)
The season will be long enough for each team play a home and away game against every team. Matches will last 4 hours, each hour being a "quarter" of the match. You can use that NFL game format when you write your post game commentary on the forum.
Scoring will be 1 point for Trout, 2 points for Flounder and 3 points for a Redfish. Most points at the end of the 4 hours wins. Tie breaker can be first fish caught. Each team will bring their "token" to give to the other team. That token must be visible in the picture. Contrary to popular gossip, size doesn't matter in this league. So we won't be measuring fish.
