Average Distance Traveled on Fishing Trip?

Just wondering how many miles of paddling do you usually do round trip when you go out fishing.  I went out yesterday fishing/exploring Skidaway with the goal of going all the way around Pigeon Island.  Saw some neat spots but man, around 6 or so miles of paddling wore me out.  Of course I stopped to fish and with the rain, made it a rather long day.  

Long story short, what is your target range for a comfortable fishing trip (ideal weather and such). Thanks!

Generally 3-7 miles for me. Sometimes I'll do a longer trip, especially in Florida. I try and plan my trips around the tides when going further distances so it's easier.
