This Thursday, 7 May from 6:00-8:00pm I'm doing a fly casting seminar at Savannah Canoe and Kayak on Bonaventure Rd in Savannah. I'll cover gear and tackle choices - rods, reels, lines, leaders, flies- as well as a couple of knots, plus casting techniques and maybe a few extras. Here's a quick teaser - since most fly rods are 4 piece, do you know what to do if a couple of sections are stuck together? You can't twist them - that's the best way to splinter your nice graphite fly rod. Come to the shop on Thursday, and I'll tell you!
