The Hobie Outbacks come with a round hatch in front of the seat. To better manage my tackle and provide an easier way to access other tackle, I installed a Hobie rectangular tackle management system. It's an easy project. Mark your hole using the inside retaining piece. I used a jigsaw to cut the opening. I placed the hatch in to ensure a good fit. I then removed and placed the provided gasket in place, placed the inside retainer, then the hatch, and screwed all the parts together.

Looks good. I just got an outback a month ago. Waiting for the weather to warm up before I take a real trip in it. It came with a small round tackle container that fits the original hatch there, but holds very little. I'm glad you posted this.

I got my hatch from South East Adventures in Brunswick. It's a pretty easy install.
