Just to let everyone know, the Finfish Advisory Panel (FAP) are in talks now about the speckled trout size & creel limits.
The goal is to strengthen our speckled trout fishery to withstand cold weather kills, enhance our size catches, and improve the overall health of the population. A survey went out a few weeks ago asking about the publics thought about size and creel limits. Status quo, 14"/ 10 limit, 14"/ 15 limit, 13"/10 limit, etc.
Being that I am the Chatham County/ Bryan County area recreational fishing representative, I'd like your ideas on this topic. Ask questions or mae your comments on this thread.
Thanks

great more regs to follow for the honest folks. but to have a better Georgia fisher and a better future for the trout. i'm for it. make it a 14"/10 limit and use circle hooks. it helps the fish out when hooked and lot easier for the release of a fish. and i know the DNR are stretched thin these days. but inforce the laws all ready on the books. should have seen the boaters breaking the no wake zone out at skidaway last weekend. and who was one of the law breakers DNR was lol.
