I finally scrapped my rigged up scupper mount for a RAM ducer mount. I like it a lot better. The oval scuppers on my Tuna were just not a great fit for the scupper mount, and while it worked, it just left me feeling uneasy because my ducer was not real snug in there and was prone to abuse hanging out the bottom of my yak. This way I can reach around and pull it up if I need too. I went with this versus in hull mounting because of the shape and access to my hull. Having a tandem, I dont have a good place to mount to the hull in a mid hatch, and my rear hatch has little flat surface to play with. I also got a new Pelican battery box. Now my FF can be taken completely out and put back in in a matter of minutes with no issues, and fits me well if If rigged for tandem or solo. Attachments:

I just bought one myself, haven't installed it yet. I have down imaging on my FF and shooting through the hull defeated the purpose by reducing the image definition by 10 - 15%. I am looking forward to giving it a try. Not a whole lot of use fishing the coastal waters, but we rely on them up where I live when fishing for stripers and finding structure. Redbeard

Just make one from PVC and stick it into the rode holder! KISS principle of engineering is always the best! Attachments:
