Whelp I did it. I downsized from the PA and I'm getting a Ride 135. I loved the PA for its comfort but it was just a little too big to really enjoy in the shallow creeks and backwater where i like to be. I haven't fished out of it since i got sick in late 13 and someone threw me on offer for it yesterday and i took it. So I'm ordering a Ride135 this afternoon. Hopefully when it gets in I'm going to make a day trip to village creek. If feel free had a lure larger than 11.5 i would had went with it, but the 135 was my second choice and i believe it will be the best option for me. Ill post pics when i get it in.

Trey now i can fish alley 3 without the worry of where I'm going to park my trailer. The PA was too big to throw on top of the car. Keith proved that the ride can go on top of any car, even a convertible!

I could'nt imagine paddling instead of peddling but to each their own. My question to you is why couldnt you get in the shallow creeks with your PA? Ive been in some really shallow creeks with mine. Just popped the mirage drive out and grab my standby paddle.

I have went into some shallow creeks and even pulled the PA and and mud to get out of bad situations. You know as well as i do, the fins start hitting at about 1.5' of water. Most feeder creeks around here are skinnier than that at low tide. The PA is a heavy boat especially when loaded with gear and ice. The Ride is only 50sh pounds lighter but it will draft a lot less. I wanted a yak in the first place and ended up in a PA, which more like a small boat. I wanted to simple things up a bit.

I have a PA and personally wouldn't trade it. At 1.5' you have to be very aware of you depth and use the short flutter pedal. That works fine, but once you are in 1 ft or less it's time for the paddle. The size of the PA makes it not much fun to paddle in my opinion. So, I get it. Every yak has its strong suits and trade offs. Just comes down to how and where you plan to use it.
For me though, "You can have my Mirage Drive when you pry it from my cold dead hands!"
