Have any of you guys seen the saltwood paddle series? I've been looking at them for a while now down at savannah canoe and kayak. They are light and built very well. Yesterday I met with mike Who owns saltwood. He explained more how they are built and what makes the quality a bit better than most and I was honestly shocked. He wants to come out to the tournament on the 26 April. He is very very knowledgable and a very skilled paddler. If you guys get the chance to look at the paddles it's def worth the time. They custom make paddles to suit what you want. I am looking at the grass hopper and the hustle. Here's there link. They are also locally owned even though the paddles are built in Portland Oregon. saltwoodpaddles.com/shop.php

The wood is hollowed out, and the carbon fiber blade has a balsa wood core to make it stronger
