I would like to invite all CGKF to participate in the Lanier Area Kayak Fishing Enthusiasts ( a Sister site to CGKF) 2014 Online Tournament. This is a State wide CPR tournament that runs from Feb 1st to Dec 31.
To sign up go to the LAKE forum lanierkayakfishing.proboards.com/ and sign up and become a member on the forum. This is the direct link to tournament info lanierkayakfishing.proboards.com/thread/1462/2014-lake-online-tournament post on that thread that you want to compete. That's it, then start catching fish.
Here is the details:
We are hosting an online kayak fishing tournament only for LAKE members this year. This tournament will begin February 1, 2014 and end December 31, 2014. This will be a catch, photo, release tournament. It will cover the listed freshwater and saltwater species caught from your kayak. This is not a team event it is an individual effort. Each fish legally caught will be photographed on a measuring device and posted on the forum for judging. Fish that are harder to catch will be assigned a higher point value than those that are easy to catch. Yakdawg and myself are the judges and any decision that we make will constitute a final decision. Keep in mind that this is for fun and we do not wish this to become something so competitive that feelings get hurt.
The overall winner will be titled the 2014 Lake Tournament Champion and will have that designation added to the winners name on the forum for all to see forever.
Rules:
1. All fish must be taken from your kayak in a legal manner..
2. All fish must be photographed on a measuring device, with a clear view of the fish and length.
3. The fish will be measured from the mouth to the tail in a natural position.
4. You must submit the photo for judging and point assignment within one week of catch. Your points will be updated on the scoring page where all can see where they stand in the competition.
5. Any entries from salt water and fresh water will be tallied separately as this is two different divisions. Any Angler submitting both salt and fresh species will be considered to be competing in two different contests.
6. Any member having a grievance must submit the grievance to myself or yakdawg via PM, If anyone uses this forum to start an argument or conflict they will be disqualified from this tournament. It is all about good sportsmanship and fellowship.
7. HAVE FUN fishing !
