I have been a freshwater fisher my whole life and am just getting into the saltwater. Needless to say I don't quite have the proper tackle needed. I was wondering if anybody has a good list of base tackle to start my new tackle box and where I can find it at. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! I'm a newbie too. I received a lot of advice from folks on here. You can invest a bunch of money quick! I'm still gathering tackle, but I had to slow down. My wallet was screaming. I found a several of the items suggested at Bass Pro. I also had very good results ordering directly from manufacturers. Look around the forum at some of the older post and you'll find a bunch of info. I'm sure the guys will Join in with suggestions. I've become fond of DOA shrimp under a popping cork and also paddle tail plastics with jigs heads. I've also learned who much easier a spinning reel with a 7' rod works better for me than my old bait casters. I've got tons more to learn though.

3000 style spinning reel on a 7' or 7 1/2' medium fast action rod. 1/8 oz Jigheads (any are fine, I sell the best - SureSet), bait colored swim baits (Zman works good), topwater plugs (spooks or mirror lure work good), mirrordine swim baits are great for trout, a net, pliers, fish grips, DOA shrimp, popping cork, 20 or 25 fluorocarbon leader. That should get you started.
