Us Southerners cant really prepare for 50 degree water. If we go in were getting cold, no matter what we have one. He was probably in one of those touring sit-ins and turned his head left and rolled it.

Hypothermia in 54 degree water? Dang, they would die in Lake Superior in August.

You can catch hypothermia in water warmer than 54 degrees I believe.
