adventurefishingworldchampionship.com/Check it out! Got asked to be on a team to fish this next Year. Its Feb 21,2014 ( week after the Boondoggle at Crooked river state park in South Ga) This event is a 15- 20 mile paddle to different checkpoints where you fish, turn your fish info, and dash for the next checkpoint. Its in the 10,000 islands area of the Everglades national park. There is a 30 minute video on the above link. Looks to be a blast. Not for the WEAK. No water, no food. no First Aid. Take what you need througout the day. you only have a map and a Compass..... Check it Out!! Hope to see some of you there!

My brother in law and I fished that tournament last year and we were one of two teams to actually hit all five checkpoints. Ended up paddling 22 miles from 7 in the morning to 4:15 in the afternoon. Definitely a great area to fish, I just hope the weather is better this year!

On tournament day we placed with four trout 25.5, 14.5, 19, and 16.5. Did not catch anything at the first spot. The day before the tournament the bite was better. Caught a bunch of jacks, trout, a couple snook, and failed to catch any reds. Hopefully my work schedule will let me go again. I will try to post a link to the videos we made while we were there. One covers tournament day step by step and the other covers the trip overall.

That sounds like a blast, if I can get some time off I would love to go. We should get at least one team from cgkf to head that way.

This video has no music due to copyright but has the majority of the tournament covered until the gopro batteries died. This video is the one my brother in law made. We fished three days and he has some coverage from all three days included in his video. |

We stayed at the little cabins there at glades haven/millers world. The event took place there and it is right on the water. Not a lot of food choices or hotels there.
