I was looking up how to make a DIY fish bag today and it is pretty straight forward. I believe the minimum amount of material that can be bought will make 2 fish bags. Would someone want to split cost of material for a fish bag? From what I read the price somewhere around $50 to $60. Let me know if your interested.

A lot of people like the Polar Bare soft sided coolers. There are claims that it is the best soft sided cooler on the market. I am a local distributor of this and I have sever in stock. You may PM me and I will give you the information on them.

I have looked at them. The polar bear is basically a 28qt cooler with soft sides. I dont like the fact that it cant be rolled up and tucked away. And at $90 it isnt something that I would want to get slimmed too much. If I either buy one for $10 or make one for $30 or $40 It is still easier for me to throw it around than a $90 cooler. Unless Im missing something or dont know that one crucial fact about them I will stick with something a little cheaper. And the 48 pack PB is only 21" long and 13" deep and wide, about the same size as this cheap one. I know it will hold ice longer but all I need a fish bag to do is keep some fish good for 10 to 12 hours at the most.

To each his own!!! I am using a Polar Bear cooler for a fish bag that I bought six or seven years ago and, except for a little fading, it is as good as it was the day I bought it. The trick to making one last is to fill it with hot water when you first get it to stretch and expand the lining, then wash it inside and out with dish soap and hot water each time you slime it. I keep a couple of trash bags in the side pocket to use when placing fish inside, which allows me to just dry it out with paper towels when I use it. I just invert the liner, air it out and its ready to use again. The only other thing is to be sure to keep the zipper clean, never wear out!!! The beauty of the Polar Bear cooler is that it will keep ice and contents for several days. What an advertisement!!! And to think, I didn't even make a dime for it!!!! The other thing I like about the Polar Bear cooler is that I bought the first one and have two more in reserve that I won in different tournaments in Jacksonville!!! I am Polar Bear'd for life!!!!
