Anyone think we need to start a thread on flies? I usually tie clousers, shimminows, redfish black worm flies and deceivers. Not looking for secrets just trying to see if anyone wants to share what is working for them. I try to fish the coast as much as possible but it is usually south of Savannah around the Brunswick area.

You can start any flyfishing threads in this Long Rod section. Whether its about fly rods, reels, or flies.

well i am no expert but here are some 1/64 and 1/80 kiptail and squirrel tail jigs made for panfishing. you can either use them on a fly rod or a ultra light rod.

Poppers. The electric chicken woks for the salt and the blue backs work real good for the inland stripers. Thanks for looking.

A few clousers I like these, can you tie them as a bendback fly? The bendbacks work great in the grass due to the hair covering the hook and making it weedless.

I will see what I can come up with. These ride hook up. It may be a couple of weeks before I get a chance to tie some up. I will get with you 3spots. Work is all consuming right now. 12 hr days get tough after a while for someone my age.

Bawanajim, those clousers look great. I tie mine a little on the large side as I also use them for stripers. I have tied plenty of those frog patterns just like those. Works surprisingly well.
