Anyone planning on fishing in it? It's June 9th and that's the week before I start work so I'm planning on going up there. I'd be camping in my hammock at one of the campgrounds and prefishing at least one day before. It's been a while since I've been able to fish a tournament, but last time I walked away with two new kayaks so...  |

Yeah I camp out of my eno all the time. Glad yall are fishing it. Gonna try to get up there two days early if possible to scout a bunch

We have 4 CGKF members that are gonna represent CGKF at the tournament. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. We will update when we return.

I'm planning to go as well. Have a campsite lined up in Buck Hall. Don't know about tree availability, but PM me if you need a spot to hang your hammock.
Weather is looking pretty bad. Currently tropical storm watch, flash flood warning and watch for Charleston. Doesn't look like pre-fishing Friday will be an option. 90% chance rain tomorrow, 70% Friday with 33 mph winds.
Hard to predict how all the fresh water and fronts will impact the fishing. Saw weather statement earlier today that suggested Awendaw (feeds Bulls Bay) got 8" of rain this morning.

I think I'll spend Friday hitting up the local tackle shops and watching some good waves out on Isle of Palms. Really wanted to get two solid days of prefishing in but oh well. At least we'll have some good weather for tournament day (fingers crossed).

Y'all be safe and good luck.
A bit of advice for anyone camping, take an extra tarp or two and plenty of rope/cordage and extra stakes. It's a tournament so that guarantees the weather will suck, nothing worse than coming back to a tent that has leaked from torential wind driven rain and all of your stuff is wet!

If you believe the weather channel, rain stops by tomorrow afternoon and winds will be reasonable. Might actually be able to fish tomorrow afternoon.
I'll be in a silver matrix with a sticker on the back window advertising for Trey. My reservations say in be in campsite T2. See you guys there.

Friday, took our time getting to Chucktown. Little windy. Ran some errands.
Corrected a brain cramp with backlash and windknot at the boat ramp then hung out with them at their camp. Talked to silveryaker at the ramp.
Drove back to Chucktown and ate some Chic Fil A.
5:00 am Saturday, up and going fishing.

Well, we made it through the tournament. We had a great time even though fishing was hard. I'll post more tomorrow, but all CGKF's anglers were in the top 22 out of 57 anglers. We even had the Junior Angler Winner.
