needed to kill some time today so i went and killed the wallet too. they have shrimp, paddlers, jerk shads, and crabz. i could not find any zman heads and so asked......that was a mistake. I was all the sudden being told how to rig them, hook them, and very well informed how its crazy to need a special zman head. oops ......at least he was trying to be helpful! basic colors, not the full spread. price: $3.99 pack rather than the usual $5-7 we keep seeing. i picked up some crabz to try on the reds. im going to try an ultra crab for a bonnet in the yak this year!

Yea, I like Slayer Jigheads....they have Weedless Jigheads that come in handy around the oyster rakes. Also John Snow was at BP today with Hooked Carpe Diem.......set the HCD area up real nice!

What other jigheads do ya'll prefer other than Zman & Slayer? I have a hard time finding either without ordering online.

i use all but not real happy with most after using zmans.
i have a ton of the std ones with lead shank kinda barbed like a hose barb. they work but not the best.

Most of the good companies are in FL, making it difficult for us to get great jig heads from anywhere other than online. With Zman I don't use a jig head, I like useing a Kevin Vandam Bass Hook and use a crimp weight. That way I can switch weights as I please, without having to re-tie. But I like the Slayer heads.

Slayer and Sure Set jig heads are the best. Both made in Jacksonville.

FYI West Marine also has ZMan too. I grabbed a pack of the Shrimpz to try out. I dont usually buy fishing gear there since they can be a bit pricey (and I am always racking up or utilizing points at BassPro) but I was there and they caught my eye.
Good to know if you are looking for some in a hurry/looking for a certain color.

Thanks for the info guys! I will have to pick some up. Bass pro is way to close... my wallet doesn't like it.
