Troutman and I had the opportunity to try out the new Yak Attack Park N Pole 8' model this past weekend.
WOW! Yak Attack hit the nail on the head with lengthening the original Park N Pole by 2 feet. We were able to stake out at the higher tides in 7 foot of water with ease and didn't have to break out an anchor. We also ventured into the flooded spartina grass in search of tailing redfish. We were able to stand or sit in our kayaks and pole (push) around the flats with ease.
This new stake out pole was very user friendly and convenient to use. Both Yak Attack Park N Pole's (the 6' and 8') float, are lightweight, and strong.
Fish My Yak sells both models and are readily available at Spot Tail's Tackle & Marine.

I got out to Spottails today and got mine, along with a few other gadgets. I plan on using it on the kayak and my skiff. It's nice to leave the anchor in the box and just stakeout.
Question: where do you recommend I attach the line? Directly to the pole or through the provided hole at the top?

I use to attach the line to the hole in the foot, but with the 8' pole I tied a loop in the end of my line ( just slightly bigger than the pole diameter ) and attached the other end to the yak/ anchor trolley. This method allows for the line to run up and down the sop, adjusting for different stake out depths. Also when you want to use it as a push pole, you just slide the line off. The sop floats so you can't loose it.
