There is a kayak fishing 101 seminar this Saturday at Coffee Bluff Marina that is put on by CGKF. The cost is $40 per person and includes 2 hrs. of land instruction and 2 hrs. of instruction on the water. If you don't have your own kayak, paddle, and PFD, you can possibly rent them from Coffee Bluff Marina. There is no one signed up as of right now and will be cancelled if there aren't at least 5 particpants signed up by this Thursday. This seminar covers kayak fishing basics, safety concerns, and fish habits. Call or go by Coffee Bluff Marina to register for this event. coffeebluffmarina.net

Trey,
I left a message for coffee bluff to call and register me for the course thisnSaturday. I hope others do as well. I have been out 3 times with no luck putting fish in the yak. Also, new to arties. I am having issues managing the yak and all the fishing equip. Plus, the wind and current.
Thanks,
Mike

I talked with Coffee Bluff Marina today and we will cancel if there aren't enough participants by 3pm today.
In the event that we have to cancel and you need some questions answered, just post up questions in the General section of this forum or get with me.
CGKF is here to help. ;D

Thank you all. I lined up a launch at redbird creek for tomorrow. The park rangers made an exception for kayakers to launch from the campgrounds' boat ramp even though not a camper. I expect fewer motorboats hogging the ramp. I will try to post my success and hopefully pics of my catch.
