I always like to find out what people are carrying in there crate. I know first aid and extra water are high on the list but what can you live with and without? I have set mine up for beach and breaker so I have a small bucket to hold my anchor system, then there is a plastic box with first aid, philips head screwdriver, gorilla glue(better than stitches) and gulp baits, sunscreen and trail mix bar. I don't want to pack too much but you never know....... What do you pack and why?

Mostly, I tend to carry too much junk in my crate, but I try to limit it to water, extra tackle, a stringer or two, a couple of marker buoys for marking structure, a measuring device, and a air horn (which I try to always keep in easy reach) for safety. I like the restraint system that you use to keep everything inside in case you roll. I sawed the bottom off of another crate and made a lid that I hinged with rope on one side and use a bungee to keep down when I am fishing through the surf. I would post a photo, but don't have it with me right now. Good question though!!! Redbeard

I use a Percision Pak, instead of the crate, but I keep Bug spray, Snacks,(Vienna sasuage, crackers and such), Pro Cure in several different scents, a cigar and lighter.....Sandgnats are horrible at times, and to much dern tackle!

Sometimes an anchor, leader material, jigheads, popping cork, hard lures (a few selected for that trip), several packs of soft plastics, water, maybe a snack, sunscreen, bugspray (seasonal), a measuring device, pliers, gorilla tape. My gear depends on the targeted species, weather conditions, seasonal times, off the beach or inshore, length of trip, etc. There are some times that I won't have a crate/ Precision Pak at all and I'll just take a few hooks/ jigheads and some plastics. Good question and topic.
