I picked up some Z-man jigheads from Spot Tail's Tackle & Marine yesterday. They have the red & chartreuse in 1/8th and 1/4 oz. If he runs out he can re-order more (hopefully, they are hard to get). These jigheads are suppose to work great with the Z-man products. In case you aren't familiar with Spot Tail's location: 205G Johnny Mercer Blvd. Tell them you are with CGKF.

Kevin, Z-man jig heads do have a second spike coming out of the head of the jig. I just look at one in the store.

Noob question.. Is there a jighead style that's less likely to get hung up in oysters?

Weedless. Has a wire loop from the jighead to the hook.

Good question! The answer is yes. Although there is no "cure all" jighead or weighted worm hook, I'll list a few ideas that will lessen the dreaded oyster hang up.
*Instead of the typical 1/4 oz. jighead, opt for 1/8 oz. or 1/16 oz.
*try a weighted worm hook for your plastics, again try lighter weights.
*use a regular (non weighted) worm hook. You'll have decreased casting distance. You can buy weighted inserts and peg them into soft plastic baits to make them sink.
Hope this helped.
