I know there has been a lot of talk about the Wang - but has anyone ever used a Cajun anchor??
Looking at space and then as a multi function type item - I was wondering if the Cajun anchor might serve dual purpose...
For example - seems it is quite as a pole and can be used in the flats.... but at the same time - if the line is long enough it could replace my grapnel anchor when I am out on the pond freshwater fishing and the water is deeper than 8 feet...
Thoughts??
Lori
I should add that the price is the same - it just seems a little more versatile??

I am sorry but I have not seen a Cajun anchor. Do you have a picture or a site we can go to and get the information on?

A Cajun anchor is a good idea, but they are heavy and shorter than a typical stake out pole. It would be a good replacement for a grapnel/ danforth type anchor and will work in the shallows. Even though I'm a 8' Wang anchor junky now, I will still use my danforth style anchor on occassion, especially if I'm fishing water deeper than 8-10'.

I have thought about getting a cajun anchor but haven't pulled the trigger on one. For the type of fishing that most of us do on the coast, I personally don't think that it would be as versatile as a Wang anchor. You definitely couldn't use it to pole around with very efficiently.
