The Savannah Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association Georgia is sponsoring a speaker's program on fisheries management, featuring four of Georgia's most respected experts in fishery management, and you are invited.
Join us on Wednesday, February 15th at the Armstrong Center Auditorium at 6pm for an interesting program discussing the challenges and complexities of managing our saltwater fisheries on the Georgia coast. There will be four short presentations by our guest speakers followed by an audience Q and A session. Our guest speakers include:
John Duren, Commissioner for Georgia on the ASMFC
Duane Harris, Councilman for Georgia on the SAFMC
Spud Woodward, Director Coastal Resource Division of the Georgia DNR
Carolyn Belcher, PhD, Manager of Research and Surveys, CRD and Scientific Advisor to the SAFMC
If you care about Georgia's fisheries, and are interested in learning how fishery management decisions are made, you need to attend this program. It's free to the public, and is sponsored as an educational public service by the Savannah Chapter of the CCA GA.
