It is good to be back. Been taking care of my 83 year old dad off and on all summer in north Alabama.Things are getting better to where i can maybe get more involved and start learning again after the holidays.

Anyone fishing the area before the tournament? Im heading down from Maryland the thursday before the tournament. How do you fish such a polar tidal flow? Anchor up and hold on?

I'm sure a few folks here will be doing a little pre-fishing. The tide isn't too bad, depending on where you're fishing. It's just figuring out where to be when the bait and fish come by with the tidal waters at Mach I. |

Are you and the other admin guys going down to Jacksonville on May 11th for the IFA tournament? I think My dad and I are going to make it this year.

I will definitely be there. I believe a couple other admins will more than likely go as well. The registration should already be open, you can do it online and pay ahead of time. They will also have a list of accomodating hotels to choose from, some will offer discounts for the tournament. Get with others that are going to see where they are going to stay as it gets closer, we usually try and stay at or near the same place. Not sure yet what my sleeping arrangements will be yet. BTW the tournie May 11th is not IFA, that is the Jax Classic....and I will definately be there!

Does anyone know off hand how much the IFA membership costs? I can't seem to find the price without completing the form...are the entry fees usually the same ammount, or does it vary by event?

Thanks, The IFA membership is $10 (I think) and each tournament is $75. You can also add in $25 (Angler Advanatge) and the pot is split up among the top finishers. |
