I received my Jackson Kayak Cuda today. The color is called Yellow Jacket. This thing is awesome and a bit different from what I've been fishing out of. The high/ low seat makes for a different view hunting for reds or ease of standing with the stand assist strap. There are rod stagers and bungees to strap the rods down. A rod/ gear storage hatch in the center, and a rod tip hood to protect rod ends from snagging on grass or limbs. I have yet to paddle it, but should have that task out of the way in time for the seminar Saturday. I'll have more knowledge of this new kayak in time for any questions at the seminar that we're having at Coffee Bluff Marina this Saturday. Stop on by and say hi.

Looks awesome!! I really like that color combo. Cant wait to see it up close and personal on Saturday. I like the idea of that rod hood to slide your rod tips into - could probably slide your anchor tip up there too before bungee-ing it down?? Sweet ride, looking forward to hearing a report on your first time out. The seat can be positioned low, or high, depending on what your doing, correct?

Congratulations!!! That's one more lean, mean, fishing mochine!!! Looking forward to a report on how it fishes. I am especially interested to find out if the elevated seat tends to make the center of gravity more apt to rolling. Redbeard

Showed the Cuda to some seminar participants and a few others Saturday. The features on it are very nice and well thought out. I'm sure that after a while of folks fishing out of them there may even be some upgrades in future models which will make this kayak unparalleled for it's uses in kayak fishing. I will surely post a complete review once I've fished out of it a few times and learn from all it's features. ;D

Had the maiden voyage in the Cuda this am. Attached is a 2 minute clip with me paddlilng the Cuda with the seat in the high position. A few folks thought it might be a bit tippy, but I assure you it wasn't. I am not what you call a small or medium sized fella and the Cuda didn't fail me. I stood a couple of times with ease and felt pretty comfortable even though the winds where blowing a little hard. Sitting back down in the seat will take some practice, I almost went swimming a couple times but saved it. Hope this clip will show you a little of how stable the Cuda is:
