BOY, it sure is great to see all the new folks signing on with CGKF!!!!! I just wanted to take a minute to welcome all of you to this site, as well as extend an invitation to become active members here. When you sign up on most sites, you get a few welcome words in the “Welcome” section and unless you post in the forum, you are never heard from again. I want to go beyond that and invite you to become an active member here. The guys that are behind this site are working hard to make it the very best around. 3spots, Nubby, Troutman, Savreds, and others are working to build this site by putting on seminars and planning other activities for the coastal kayak fishing community to participate in. Many of you were introduced to the site through the seminars and have seen firsthand the efforts that these guys are putting forth to introduce yak fishing and this site to as many people as they can. When they hold a meet and greet, come on out and get to know everyone. Go fishing with them, get to know them. “It don’t get no better than that!!!”
They need help to grow this site. The way to get started is to start posting in the forums. If you are a novice yak fisherman and new to coastal kayak fishing, don’t be shy, feel free to post away and ask questions. You will find the folks here willing and eager to share their knowledge and experience with you to help you become a better yak fisherman. Look in the “Fishing Trips” section and hook up with someone for a fishing trip to learn firsthand how it is done. If you are an “old hat” and have experience, please share that with others by posting in the forums. We all learn from each other by sharing our experiences and knowledge. And if you are like me, “A coastal boy a long way from home”, and live far away from the salt, don’t let that hold you back from pitching in and posting your thoughts and ideas. I live in north Georgia and am able to live the salt and keep up with what is happening through my friends here. You will never find a better bunch of folks to get to know than here. One of the greatest things that I know about kayak fishing and being an active member of CGKF is the new friends that I have met and gotten to know through this sport and this site.
We welcome anyone to sign on and follow the site, but the way to really enjoy it and reap the benefits of it is to participate. So, please take a minute and post up, tell us a little about yourself and your yak fishing experience, fresh or salt, there is a place on the site to share with everyone. Once you start posting, go the next step and participate in the activities here. Before you know it, you will have become one of the “regular” guys (or gals) on the site!!!
Welcome Aboard!!!!!
