The ogeechee always has a pretty swift current. Add in all of the rain and high levels and, well you see what you get. Goes to show you always need to be prepared, know the conditions, and your own capabilities/limitations.

Definitely pays to wear a pfd, especially with swift currents. On a side note, the kayak pictured in the add is the same one I have just rigged up differently :-) Attachments:

Lucky folks. My son and I always wear our PFD's no matter how uncomfortable or hot it is. The only time we take it off is when we are in super shallow water and we are staked out or when we actually make landfall. A PFD in good working order is probably the most important piece of kayak fishing gear you can have besides your kayak and paddle. You never know when and if you'll need it, don't take the chance and just wear it.

Always wear my pfd. I have done got so old I even wear it while wading!! ( Me be a big wuz but a live one!)
