chaseing red's with the fly rod

well since i see a lot of you fish with the fly rod's for red fish. what wgt do you use? this is my 2nd year with the fly rod for bream and bass fishing. but i have never done it with the fly rod for red fishing. and my first year fishing for a kayak. so any tips would be very helpful thanks.

On windy days I use an 8wt and on calm days I use a 7wt with an 8wt line. So basically...8wt. The 8wt 9' rod is pretty much the "standard" for in-shore saltwater fly fishing. You'll find variations from there down to 6 and up to 10, but 90% of it is done with the 8wt.
