Picked up a cheap reel at bass pro along with some flies..looked up some youtube vids on basic casting, about to go see if the fish are biting. here's to another expensive hobby!

hey asdf its not that expensive but it can get out of had real quick. hving having custom rods built for yourself. you tube help me out to. and if you can get some help from bass pros when they offer the fly seminars. i still have problems with that darn roll cast.

I should be winning the Lunker Club contest on www.fishhound.com this week and getting a bass pro gift card..I will be getting a new fly reel with that! Just started tying up some new flies yesterday!

Congratulations!!! I know what you are talking about, making you smile!!! That is one time when size doesn't matter. My first trip out with some of the flies that I tied, I caught a few small ones, but I was happier than I would have been if I had caught a limit of keepers on any other tackle. Very satisfying and enjoyable. Redbeard

Bluegill on the beds at Stewart had lockjaw this morning.. gonna go back tonight and see if i can get em to eat something.

first respectable fish.. was as long as my forearm. my photog skills still suck. took two baby bass out right after this one, and one before it.

Awesome Fish! We threw everything we had at them bluegill that morning and they wouldn't touch anything..lost a couple fish at the far edge of the beds but that was it!
